The CEO of Akazi Kanoze Access, Busingye Antony, confirms that overcoming the battle of unplanned pregnancy and avoiding drugs comes from being active and thus avoiding begging and being cheated by small things.
He announced this while concluding a training session for more than 400 youth in Gatsibo District on self-employment and self-confidence so that they do not look down but try the opportunities they have.
Busingye sees that young people who are confident and ready to use their strength do not wait to beg or feel that others owe them work, reminding them that there is no wrong work when it is done well.
He said, “They have gained confidence, they have decided to participate in government programs properly and they will go to Ejo Heza and save themselves. When you know what you are doing no one can deceive you.
You know how to say yes and no when it’s time, I remind myself that there is no bad job if you do it well and improve it”. The Mayor of Gatsibo District, Richard Gasana, also says that these young people are valuable in the labor market. If you have knowledge, don’t wait for job announcements.
He said, “We do not expect a good recovery in the labor market. When a person has knowledge, temptations are reduced, you no longer think that someone else will give you something, which means that you will not get pregnant without planning or even invest in drugs easily”.
Murekatete Shakira is one of the trainees who admits that at first she really felt that she couldn’t do it but that she felt that everything is possible, and now she is a witness of courage. She said, “I found that there is no reason to despair and I have a job and while I was busy, no one cheated on me. I learned to work hard and take my hands out of my pockets.”
These more than 400 youths will be a source and a light for other youths who thought that they will be given jobs by others and will be a catalyst for the development of their families and the country as a whole.
