The young up-and-coming model after four months of competing in the ‘Supra Model Competition’ has been awarded to top performers to support and promote their talents. These awards are organized by SupraFamily Ltd which regularly organizes various competitions that promote new talents such as Supra Voice, Rwanda Influencers Award, Miss Supranational and others.
The award ceremony was held at Century Park in Nyarutarama on the evening of November 19, 2022. It was a special evening for Semana Cynthia as she won first place. Semana was awarded prizes including 1,000,000 Frw, which will be paid for a trip to Dubai by the Nigerian Travel Agency, Wizygbe Tours.
The agency will also help her travel and connect her with established models in Dubai. In addition to that, he will be recruited by an international agency that will help him expand his talent and connect him with international fashion houses.
Among the objectives of the competition is to promote domestic tourism, which is why Rudasingwa Teddy, who won the second place, was awarded a trip to different parts of Rwanda, in addition to receiving 300,000 Frw
Mutesi Ruth who had a lot of fans won the third place and was awarded the prize called ‘Face Of Africa’ which was accompanied by 300,000 Frw. In addition to rewarding fashion designers, other awards were given to appreciate those who are involved in the development of fashion in Rwanda.
In this category called ‘Best Model’, the one who beat others in passing through the model became Umfite Anipha who became the third runner-up of Miss Supranational Rwanda 2019. The best fashion artist was Patrick Muhire, founder of Inkanda House, while the best fashion journalist was Mukahirwa Diane of IGIHE.
The famous fashion makeup artist is Murungi Nadia, the photographer who took the best fashion photos is Muhizi Serge, who founded the Elevatix studio together with Promesse Kamanda.
Model Kabano Franco, who was on the jury, and the Director of WBM (Webest model) was awarded the ‘Achievement Awards’ and was praised for his role in helping Rwandan models participate in fashion shows around the world.
