Skills Development and Training Specialist

Job responsibilities

– Answerable to the Operations Division Manager; – She/he will facilitate eligible ex-combatants’ access to existing vocational and business skills training opportunities wherever possible; – She/he will ensure that the design and delivery of any special training and apprenticeship activity financed under the RDRP is in compliance with standards recognized by the Ministry of Education; – She/he will supervise the implementation of vocational training and apprenticeship activities for ex-combatants supported through RDRP financing; – Skills Development and Training Specialist will work with Provincial Reintegration Officers in an effort to secure placement and employment of ex-combatants upon completion of their training, and apprenticeship;

– The SD&T Specialist will work in consultation with the Medical Rehabilitation Unit to ensure that Training Institutions provide for special needs of women and disabled beneficiary ex-combatants; – She/he will work in consultation with M&E team, determine specific objectives, quantifiable targets and measurable performance indicators for specific training activities with a view of measuring impact; and – She/he will work closely with the M&E team to document and ensure timely utilization of lessons of learned in the course of implementation of the training program. – Perform any other official duties may be assigned by the supervisor. Note; Being an Ex- Combatant in Rwanda is an added value

Minimum qualifications

  • 1Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts3 Years of relevant experience
  • 2Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering3 Years of relevant experience
  • 3Master’s Degree in Engineering3 Years of relevant experience
  • 4Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management3 Years of relevant experience
  • 5Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management3 Years of relevant experience
  • 6Bachelors Degree in TVET Management3 Years of relevant experience
  • 7Bachelors Degree in Cottage Industry3 Years of relevant experience
  • 8Masters Degree in TVET Management3 Years of relevant experience
  • 9Masters Degree in Cottage Industry3 Years of relevant experience
  • 10Masters Degree in Culinary Arts.3 Years of relevant experience
